Our MissionWe follow the words of our patron, St John Vianney, who said "He is here".
We recognize Christ is in the Word, the Eucharist, and in us, His people with a special reverence for Him in the poor and marginalized. We are called to make Christ present through our prayer and charity. We seek to grow in our spiritual lives and create a community where everyone is welcome; the young and old, together to experience the loving presence of God. We believe He is here amongst us and we joyfully go out to make Him present to all. |

The Feast of Divine Mercy is celebrated on the second Sunday of Easter. Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated at Nazareth House Chapel, Wynnum on Sunday the 7th of April. All parishioners are invited to attend this special occasion. In the writings of Saint Faustina, it is revealed that those who go to confession and receive communion on Divine Mercy Sunday will receive complete remission of sin and punishment. The programme for divine mercy Sunday
The Novena Our Lord instructed St Faustina to make a novena, of the chaplet, beginning on good Friday. Each day will be dedicated to a chosen group. A Divine Mercy Chaplet is available at the back of SJV & Gumdale church. ‘Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy.’ |
